Ingredients
- 3 chopped onions
- 3 chopped toes garlic
- 1 c. chopped ham, bacon or salt meat
- 2 c. uncooked rice
- oil if needed
- 1 chopped bell pepper
- 3 chopped ripe tomatoes or 1 can stewed
- salt, pepper, thyme, Tabasco sauce and bay leaf
- 2 or 3 lb. small, shelled shrimp
Directions
- This is a rice dish unique to the coasts of South Carolina. It's like the Jambalaya of Louisiana; anything can be used to make it.
